Fashion Sales Data Analyst

Job description

In Digikala we have five verticals, each has many different unsolved questions which require tailor-made solutions based on the dynamic of that vertical. We need a creative mind in our team for fashion vertical not only to provide us with analytical solutions, but also to find problems and work on them to help the team to optimize their performance. This position requires excellent analytical skills, retail, e-commerce business experience, and the ability to work well alone and with a team. The fashion sales data analyst is responsible for sales forecasting, assortment planning, pricing suggestion, profitability analysis and inventory control for our fashion business.

Sales Analysis:

  • Analyzing sales data and root causing in case of drop or jump in sales and take actions
  • Quarterly sales planning
  • Analyzing sales patterns and finding opportunities to increase sales
  • Initiatives for reaching the target and growth
  • Providing both long and short-term sales forecasts for all categories within the vertical that are driven by budgeted growth
  • Provide actionable insight to Category Managers and marketing team which will help sales growth
  • Defining actions based on seasonal sales patterns, understanding key competitors and customer behavior
  • Bench-marking best practices and monitoring competitor’s activities.
  • Investigating verticals processes, and define projects based on the existing weaknesses
  • Finding key selling points, like up-selling and cross selling and define action plans for them
  • Providing reports and presentations based on occasions.

Retail Management:

  • Suggesting potential products for retail
  • Stock management initiatives (Purchase size, order cycle, dead stock prevention strategies)

Requirements

  • 2-3 years’ experience in similar role
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Very strong numerical and analytical skills - translate commercial initiatives into quantifiable measurable performance
  • Ability to think critically and creatively
  • Demonstrated project management skill
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work efficiently and effectively within a collaborative, cross-functional environment
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure in a fluid, fast-paced team environment while meeting critical deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of E-commerce industry is preferred
  • Experience of working in fashion industry is a plus
