Product Manager, AI & BigData

Job description

Digikala, the largest e-commerce platform in Iran, is looking for a high-calibre product manager to help us improve our products and deliver a world-class experience for our customers. In this position, you are supposed to:

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Big Data to define, improve and scale the team’s products and impact our customers’ experience
  • Incorporate data, user and market research and analysis to inform product strategies and roadmaps
  • Perform gap analysis on existing data and identify new data sources
  • Develop solutions to DK challenges by collaborating as needed across teams, product areas, and functions
  • Develop requirements and user stories that distill real world events, stakeholder feedback, technical trade-offs, and data analysis into actionable features
  • Decompose & detail User Stories from more coarsely defined requirements (Epics and Features), and help the engineering team define and decompose Technical Stories
  • Communicate the product vision and strategy to stakeholders and agile teams and translate it into what needs to be built and evolved
  • Define, analyze and monitor metrics that inform the success of products
  • Understand and help with the machine training, validation, and testing processes
  • Helping the team to know up-to-date priorities and making sure that the delivered features provide optimal business value
  • Work collaboratively with Digikala’s core product teams to apply AI/ML using new services to solve some of the company's hardest problems


  • Having applied experience and education in AI and Machine Learning
  • Experience defining vision and strategy for a technical product
  • Experience building new AI/ML technologies, products and developer tools
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to provide guidance, direction and be able to set measurable goals
  • Lead the planning of product release plans and manage expectations around delivery of new features
  • Experienced in working with data scientists and engineers in an agile setup
  • Experience in managing full product lifecycle, integrating customer feedback into product requirements, driving prioritization and pre/post-launch execution
  • Being data and number-driven, know what data to collect and how to interpret the KPIs
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written, for both business and technical audiences, a positive attitude, and empathy for each other and for our users
  • Being organized, able to work independently, and possesses self-­awareness and a desire to continually improve
